Baton Pass is built to be flexible and secure so you can use it however it best serves your family. You decide what goes on each pass, and you can share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.

Who can see my child's health information?

Only you and caregivers you explicitly share a link with. Baton Pass employees cannot read your child's health data. It is encrypted before storage and the decryption key is never in the database. No other Baton Pass parent can access your records.

The free tier covers one child profile and one pet profile with three secure passes per month. If your family has two kids, two kids and a dog, or just needs more than three passes a month, Premium removes all limits. Unlimited child and pet profiles, unlimited passes, for $9.99 a month or $79 a year.

Why does the pass have a faint overlay on it?

That's a watermark. Every time someone opens a pass, their IP address and the exact time they viewed it are stamped across the page at low opacity. It deters screenshots and means every view is traceable.

What happens to my data if there's a security breach?

Health fields are encrypted before storage, so a breach yields unreadable ciphertext, not health records. Share link tokens are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be reversed into working links. We never store passwords.
